On August 11, the A Sakada Story screened at the Philippine Consulate General in New York City as part of their summer movie series, Sinehan sa Summer 2015, sharing the Sakada story with a broad New York City audience and Filipino community, who were largely unaware of this story and who embraced this piece of Filipino-American history in Hawaii.
